| The year was 1972 when Braxton McNauhton began making
soft plastic baits in his garage in Georgiana,AL . Braxton started
selling soft plastic baits under the name "Mac's Baits.".Braxton
enjoyed excellent success with his baits over the years. Braxon was
also a major supplier of soft plastic baits to several well known
plastic bait companies, including V&M when the brand was first
introduced. To say Braxton McNaughton has vast experience in the manufacture
of soft plastic baits is an understatement.
In 1997 Braxton's son Kent decided to start his own company . Kent decided on the NetBait name. Kent wanted to offer a product at a reasonable cost with outstanding quality. He also felt that fishermen using the baits should also design the baits. Kent and his Dad set out to design baits that would excell in any situation that an angler would encounter. Searching for something new that the fish had not seen thousands of times, Kent along with his dad and others designed the now famous " Paca Craw " in the year 2000. Kent & his Dad has also created a specially formulated plastic enhanced with Salt, Pork Fat, and Anise Scent to make the fish bite and hang on.
